CHURCH. NETWORK. MOVEMENT.
Every day, Christians and their kingdom dreams are lost because
they don't have the resources or services to respond to their God-given callings.
The St. Pete Underground exists to inspire and equip local
missionaries to act on God's calling to create impact in our cities.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
We're using our platform to stand in solidarity and leaving space for Black folk to grieve and heal. Praying with our People of Color today, who are tired of our unjust systems, and who long for an end to wrongdoing. As we grieve and lament together, let's continue to dismantle white supremacy and racism around us, seeking biblical justice and the Kingdom of God in our city.
SABBATH AS RESISTANCE WEBINAR
Join us as we say no to the culture of now in our 2-hour webinar. This space is for anyone who struggles with balance, boundaries, and self-worth in their ministry leadership amidst the tensions of COVID-19 and the fight for racial justice.
As St. Pete Underground, we care about your health as missionaries during the outbreak of COVID-19. That's why we prepared a new guided meditation from our Director of Care to help ground yourself spiritually during this global pandemic. Listen live on Zoom here:
MICROCHCURCH MOMENT BLOG
With COVID-19 slowing down some of our outreach efforts and microchurch gathering, our communities have been coping by keeping connection and getting creative! Hear their unique stories on the blog.
A COLLECTION OF KINGDOM DREAMS
St. Pete Underground is a place for innovative ideas, deep leadership community and fearless pursuit of Jesus and his cause. We exist to inspire, engage, connect and empower missional people, churches and networks. Our name is a tribute to the underground church of history, characterized by sacrificial faith in the face of danger, oppression, and even death. We honor that memory and hope to represent that church in our city and around the world.
The network, from which we have multiplied in Tampa, is currently home to over 200 microchurches (small missional communities) in the Tampa Bay area and 11 city-wide sister movements around the world. We believe firmly that people make up the church, not buildings or budgets, or even leaders. When believers work together in sincere worship and genuine community to accomplish a part of the mission of God, they are the church.
As a movement, we want to equip and serve our missionaries through the areas of Coaching, Personal Care
and Network Development. Check out our blog for up-to-date resources for your microchurch.
